Immediately after his summer U.K. tour, Vince
Falzone, professional musician and recording
artist, and long time Santa Clarita resident,
releases his Live at the Canyon Theatre Guild
album from his benefit concert held in March of
this year. It was almost a year ago when fellow
musician and violinist David Ewart lost his home
in a devastating fire. David and his son
Michael also suffered severe burns to most of
their body from the fire.
Having heard of this tragic incident, Vince
Falzone, who had never met David, decided to turn
his upcoming CD release concert into a benefit
event for the Ewarts’.
The event was held at the Canyon Theatre
Guild in Newhall (thanks to their generous
support) and raised over $500 for David and his
family. Live at the Canyon Theatre Guild is
the live recording of the concert featuring a
special guest performance by David Ewart himself —
his very first live performance since his injury
from the fire. David who is a very
accomplished violinist brought a new dimension to
Vince’s rock style music. It was a highly
emotional showcase as the community pulled
together to help one of our own.
Vince and his wife Lily moved from South
Florida to California in the mid 90’s to pursue
his dream of being a full time musician.
Blending rock and pop music to form his unique
music style, Vince’s music has been described as
“when Hendrix meets McCartney meets Myer.”
He had recorded six CDs prior to the latest
release of Out of Time — Vince’s 7th and most
noted album.
It features tunes like “Sway,” Vince’s
number one selling song on iTunes; “Time in
a Jar” produced by Grammy Award Winner Pete
Orta; and “The Sound,” which received worldwide
attention with the extraordinary African and
Brazilian style percussion performed by Laura
Bilodeau, a recent Masters of Fine Arts graduate
from Cal Arts.
The Out of Time album is being aired on
more than 250 radio stations worldwide and
was recently performed live on Vince’s summer 2006
U.K. tour. The tour included seven shows
over a 14 day duration including a music festival
with more than 5,000 fans featuring Vince as the
main act.
Due to the positive reception from fans
across the Atlantic, a follow up tour is in the
works for sometime next year.
In addition to
working on his eighth album titled Strip of
Leather, he also has his long time airing TV show
Studio Recording and Guitar Playing on Public
Access Channel 20, which airs weekly Saturday and
Sunday at 8:30 p.m. The show focuses on
teaching people basic knowledge on home studio
recording along with guitar playing tips from
Vince.
Since the benefit concert, Vince has also
become friends with David Ewart, and continues to
help others in need in the community.
